Bolivia has three “official,” categories which a child can, should, or could be removed from a parent or guardians house. These categories are abandonment, situation of risk, and irresponsibility by parent or guardian.
Talita Cumi has rescued and housed children that fit in all of these categories. We have seen and witnessed horrendous and heart break of these children after being neglected, abused, or abandoned.
Please read about some of our kids’ stories and how they got rescued from difficult situations to living with us to getting adopted or waiting for a family.
** Due to Bolivian confidentiality laws we cannot publish clear, notable faces of our children. That is why our images our pixelated, to protect their identities.
